Glenda Parsons

I am a graduate of Grossmont School of Nursing and attended both the University of California at San Diego and Trinity University in San Antonio Texas where I studied economics and international affairs.
Gardening and horticulture have been a lifelong passion. Some of my first memories are of gardening with my mother and some enormous trees I played under as a small child.

I moved into Ashburn Village in 1992 when my husband retired from the military. Over 23 years of living in Loudoun County I have been involved in numerous volunteer activities in support of my children to include the PTA, Band and Athletic Booster clubs and the Girl Scouts. The other passion I have is volunteering with citizen voting rights and access. I was president of the League of Women Voters of Loudoun County and continue to volunteer at the Loudoun County Voter Registration Office working as an election official.

I have worked at two retail nurseries in Loudoun County. At both nurseries Loudoun County Master Gardeners were mentioned and the IPM was used. Ever since that time I wanted to become a Master Gardener. I am a graduate of the class of 2010 and have been a member of the Plant Education, Propagation and Sales (PEPS) team since joining LCMGs and have served as the PEPS Team Lead for several years.
